Over the last few years, both the Niskayuna Central School District and the surrounding community have called attention to the high school athletic facilities and their state of disrepair. The unsafe and worn facilities prevent the District from hosting track and field events at home, and other sports fields are also in need of renovation due to poor drainage and aging field accommodations.  The site also needs circulation and accessibility improvements.

Appel Osborne is currently designing the much-needed renovations to their athletic complexes including a new track, a new multi-sport synthetic turf field, and new baseball and softball fields. Beyond the design of the athletic facilities, site design will include parking expansion, vehicular circulation improvements, and accessibility improvements for those with disabilities.
