Bruce E. Appel Bruce E. Appel, a Registered Landscape Architect with 39 years of experience, established the firm of Appel Osborne Landscape Architecture in 1998. The partnership is a continuation of a practice organized in 1975 by Mr. Appel, known as Obrist and Appel.
The current office remains a leader in the practice of Landscape Architecture, Site Engineering, Land Planning and Outdoor Sports Facilities design. Mr. Appel’s responsibilities as Senior Partner include project design and management and office/administrative management.
A graduate of the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry, in Syracuse, New York in 1966, Bruce remains committed to continuing education and a leader in stormwater management, contract management, partnering, negotiating and expert testimony, turf grass and recreation planning. Bruce is Registered in New York and Pennsylvania.
Bruce is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and the Athletic Administrators’ Association.
Pete S. OsbornePeter S. Osborne is a Registered Landscape Architect with over 23 years experience. The firm was renamed Appel Osborne Landscape Architecture in 1998 when Mr. Osborne became a Partner.
A graduate of Gettysburg College with a Bachelor of Arts and Biology Major in 1977, he continued his education at the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse, New York receiving a Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture in 1982.
Mr. Osborne began his career as part of the design/sales staff of a large Rochester, NY design-build company. After 6 years in design-build, Mr. Osborne joined Bruce Appel in Syracuse to pursue a professional career as a consulting Landscape Architect. His professional experience includes site design and planning of sports facilities, health care and independent living facilities, and industrial facilities. In addition, Mr. Osborne has extensive experience in site planning for secondary and higher educational facilities and large scale residential with a specialty in irrigation design.
Mr. Osborne’s responsibilities include office management and administration and overseeing the computer/network systems and operations. Pete is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the New York State Turfgrass Association.
Vincent P. PietrzakVincent P. Pietrzak is a Registered Landscape Architect with 20 years experience. Responsibilities as an Associate with Appel Osborne landscape Architecture include project management, project design and production planning, site planning and site engineering, and the design of presentation graphics.
After graduating from the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York in 1985, Vince began his career in Connecticut gaining experience in recreational facilities planning and contract documentation. He has worked for other area firms which have allowed him to experience a wide range of practice including various urban planning projects, historic preservation, waterfront revitalizations, municipal park planning and housing development.
Vince remains committed to providing clients with design solutions that are innovative and lasting. He oversees the design output of Appel Osborne Landscape Architecture.
Timothy D. BonaparteTimothy D. Bonaparte is a Registered landscape Architect with over 10 years of experience in the profession. Responsibilities as a Project Manager and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) include site planning and design, site engineering with heavy emphasis on construction documentation, storm water management and contract administration.
Tim is a 1997 graduate of the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York with a Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture. He began his career working for a landscape construction where he gained experience in the construction/renovation of several area golf courses.
Professional experience includes the design of sports facilities including artificial turf, golf course design, municipal and industrial facilities, storm water management design and secondary educational facilities. Tim’s responsibilities in the office include the maintenance of our in-house CAD systems including continuous software upgrades and subsequent staff training.
